The youngest landmass on earth and still evolving, split between the Eurasian and North American plates, Iceland is home to some of the most spectacular natural scenery in the world. Furthermore, the country resides at a latitude of 65° just below the Arctic Circle and is therefore perfectly positioned to receive displays of the Aurora Borealis, otherwise known as the Northern Lights. Icelandic landscapes exhibited within this collection include Jokulsarlon Glacier Lagoon at the edge of Vatnajokull Glacier, Hali, Hofn, and the mountain known as the Horn in Southern Iceland leading to the East Fjords. Landscape photography includes Gullfoss Falls and Strokkur Geysir (the smaller active Geysir next to the dormant Great Geysir) on the Golden Circle route, along with images from Mt Kirkjufell and Kirkjufellsfoss on the Snaefellsnes Peninsula Western Iceland.
