Participants will be able to learn new, or develop existing, skills whilst visiting the breathtaking landscapes Iceland has to offer. Iceland boasts some of the most unique, and consequently diverse, landscapes on planet Earth. Therefore, there will be plenty of opportunity to photograph some of them under sunsets, sunrises, and probably dramatic skies and weather along the way.
The North and West Iceland Landscape Photography Workshop focuses on landscape and night sky photography over the waterfalls and coastlines of Northern Iceland, and the wild coast of the Western Snaefellsnes Peninsula
Trying to capture the Aurora will be a high priority on this workshop, and the timing is carefully planned around a new moon, and dark sky dates, to maximise chances.
Having pioneered night photography/astrophotography workshops within the UK and Europe over half a decade ago, any clear night sky opportunities without Aurora present will be utilised for Ollie to deliver landscape astrophotography tuition; see further Iceland images in the Iceland photography gallery here.
North Iceland Photography Workshop
While the trip will include late nights stargazing, it is important to mention that it will still have a strong emphasis on capturing the amazing Icelandic scenery undertaking landscape photography daily within winter light.
Finally, especially relevant is the team size, which is capped at four/five; therefore, as a result, valuable one to one and group tuition can be delivered far more effectively, helping to ensure that everyone not only enjoys travelling and seeing the sights, but in addition acquire new photographic skills.
This workshop aims to get to one of the more remote waterfalls in the north, so requires a reasonable level of fitness (please see December 2019 Iceland Workshop for a trip that entails less walking/hiking here).
Ollie is running a 9-day circular (circumnavigating the entire country via the ring road) 14th to 23rd November 2020, for further information, please contact Ollie here.
Iceland is a big commitment, and weather can be extreme, please contact Ollie via the enquiry form for further information regarding this photographic adventure and workshop.
