Home to wide sandy beaches looking out to the Atlantic with rocky out crops and spectacular clifftop scenery, azure coves, and traditional fishing villages and harbours, Cornwall has long been a favourite haunt for landscape and seascape photographers. Ollie makes no exception to this cliché and has spent a many a warm September afternoon trekking along the spectacular costal paths in awe of the beauty of the counties coastline and never ending photographic opportunities, more recently turning his knowledge of the coastline to pinpoint the best places for stargazing and landscape astrophotography. The Cornish landscape photography workshop will allow you to take in some of the best locations on the beautiful south western Penwith (Pennwydh) Peninsula whilst also developing your landscape and nightscape photographic skills. Time is your own in the day to relax and unwind or take in local sights. Digital processing advice and tuition will also be offered in the early afternoon if required. We journey to location to catch the late afternoon light, sunset, twilight, and night Milky Way astrophotography on each day however earlier daytime travel and location visits may take place by group agreement.
Day 1 – Arrival day, meet with group participants and icebreaker at accommodation then travel to St Ives for a brief outing to capture sunset, then back to the accommodation for an evening late meal*

Day 2 – Journey to Lands End to capture the sunset at the famous rock arch (Enys Dodnan) and the Longships Lighthouse, improve your twilight photography through the blue hour before shooting the Milky Way. The journey back may also include a visit to the eerie shadows of the Crown Tin Mines to undertake more night sky photography.

Day 3 – Take in the sunset at Godrevy lighthouse, the perfect seascape photography backdrop for a late summer sunset before proceeding to St Michaels Mount or Pendeen and Trevose Head lighthouses for some starlight night photography.
