DOLOMITES PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOP
Dolomites Landscape and Astrophotography Workshop concentrates on both landscape, and astrophotography; a small group of four alongside Ollie is guaranteed. Ollie has used the same five-bedroom en-suite, high-end accommodation, year in year out, situated in beautiful La Val, Alta Badia, Dolomiti.
The Dolomites Landscape and Astrophotography Workshop offers participants a chance to get high above high up on the peaks and shoot landscapes and night photography from awe-inspiring locations.
The workshop will prioritise clear nights for landscape astrophotography and nightscapes, however, it also incorporates golden hour, sunsets blue hour, and afternoon light daily ensuring there are daily alongside sunrise opportunities ensuring there is a balanced mix of traditional landscape photography and astrophotography.
Northeastern Italy is home to the Italian Dolomiti, while the range itself forms part of the Southern Limestone Alps, and probably boasts some of the most iconic and spectacular landscape and mountain scenery within the Alps mountain range.
BOOK YOUR PLACE
This workshop includes one night in a traditional mountain hut, either Rifugio Fermeda giving sunset, nightscape, and sunrise access to the iconic Seceda, or Rifugio Lagazuoi offering expansive views over the Dolomite Alps., framed with a traditional rifugio. Gondola’s up the mountain are included in the workshop fee.
Fermeda requires an hour’s hike to reach the Seceda viewpoint over 4oo metres.
The workshop is single occupancy rooms, and the week-long accommodation is kept whilst visiting the rifugio to enable travelling light for the night’s excursion.
The night in the rifugio may require room sharing, please contact Ollie for further information and to find out which rifugio is booked.

Ollie runs his workshops in a like manner to his own shooting techniques, thus getting the best from the area and landscape, as opposed to fixing locations 100% but then possibly facing unfavourable conditions.
Post-editing sessions will also take place in the apartments on Lightroom and Photoshop, as well as in-depth landscape and astrophotography planning sessions.
The apartments are located within a beautiful valley situated within Alta Badia, in a scene so picturesque you can literally shoot mountain peaks and low lying cloud from the doorstep or room balconies; there is also a picturesque church within the village that provides an excellent “roll out of bed” sunrise subject, with Sass di Putia mountain providing the backdrop.
Due to the remote location, and some late nights, meals are of a mixed affair of food on the road, group meals in the apartments, pizzerias, and local eateries serving traditional Ladin cuisine.
Ollie runs the Dolomite photography tours annually late September to October, and bases his dates on moon phases to enable both traditional landscape, and astrophotography tuition.
THE PLACE AVAILABLE IS DUE TO CANCELLATION, FINAL BALANCE INVOICES HAVE BEEN ISSUED AND PAID MEANING THE CANCELLATION PLACE IS PAYABLE IN FULL.
