Description
Laig Beach 4
The Isle of Rum almost obscured by cloud, seen from Laig Beach.
One of the most spectacular beaches in Scotland, from where the Isle of Rùm can be seen rising out of the sea.
Laig Beach consists of a mix of white shell, black basalt and quartz; the black basalt, aided by the winds and the tides, create ever-changing, swirling, shadowy patterns continuously on the sand.
