Description
Slovenia Sveti Jakob
The Sveti Jakob church atop the hill named after it, night photography Slovenia.
Located in the Polhov Gradec Hill Range, in the Ljubljana area, and at around 806 meters high is Sv. Jakob hill, named after the little 16th-century church standing atop it, Sv. being short for Sveti, meaning ‘Holy’. This is possibly the most photographed church in Slovenia.
From the top of the hill, if the weather is favourable, there are fantastic view of the Sora Plain, the Ljubljana basin, the Karawanken Mountains, the Julian Alps and the Polhov Gradec, Zasavje and Notranjska Hill Ranges.
