Description
Soča
Mist hangs low over Soča Valley, Slovenia.
A settlement of scattered, traditional Trenta-style wooden built houses, Soča lies in a valley through which the Soča, or Isonzo River, flows; flowing from western Slovenia and northern Italy, the river is 138 kilometres long, and is said to be one of the most beautiful rivers in Europe due to its distinct emerald green colour.
River Soča, flows across various size waterfalls and cascades, and tumbles through narrow rocky gorges, where it has carved canyons and pools along the way.
