Description
Torridon Night Sky
This is a great location to photograph not only some of the best night skies in Scotland, as seen in this image, but also to shoot the Aurora Borealis.
Torridon is not only the name of the small village, but the surrounding area, including a range of hills and a loch.
Since 2011 the area has become famous for hosting the annual CELTMAN! Extreme Scottish Triathalon, which includes a freezing cold 3.4 km swim through Loch Shieldaig, a 202 km bike ride on highland roads and ends with a 42 km run covering two of the Munro mountains in the Beinn Eighe range.
