Aurora over Noss Head Lighthouse in the far north east of Scotland, near Thurso and Wick in the county of Caithness.
A Grade A listed building, Noss Head Lighthouse was built in the 19th century, at a height of 59 feet, and first came into active service in 1849; although still an active lighthouse, it became automated in 1987.
The far north of Scotland is one of the best places to see the Northern Lights in the UK.
