Bolivia Astrophotography Drivers

The Altiplano, also known as the Andean Plateau, is a vast high-altitude plateau located in the central Andes, stretching across parts of Bolivia, Peru, Chile, and Argentina. It is the second-largest plateau in the world after the Tibetan Plateau and sits at an average altitude of 3,600 meters (11,800 feet) above sea level.  It is sparsely populated and this factor, combined with the altitude and dryness make Bolivia’s Altiplano one of the best places in the world for Milky Way shooting and astrophotography
