Red Roof Cottage Shieldaig

The Milky Way seen from behind the Red Roof Cottage in Shieldaig, Western Highlands, Scotland.

Shieldaig was established in 1800 and has become a popular place to visit due to its location, on Loch Shieldaig, where the spectacular Torridon mountains rise up behind it. The red roof cottage is used as a navigation marker, and has become a well-photographed building.
