Description
Hamnøy
The traditional fishing huts (‘rorbuer’) of the little village of Hamnøy in the winter.
Hamnøy in Western Lofoten, is very short drive from both Sakrisøy and Reine, and a rorbu (plural ‘rorbuer’) is a traditional type of Norwegian hut, used seasonally by fishermen.
Rorbuer are built on land, and have one end on poles in the water, which allows the fishermen to access their boats easily.
