Jökulsárlón Glacial Lagoon Aurora

In south-eastern Iceland, bordering the Vatnajökull National Park, lies Jökulsárlón, a glacial lagoon. Renowned for its calm, blue waters which are littered with icebergs from the surrounding Breiðamerkurjökull Glacier; itself part of the larger Vatnajökull Glacier. 

The Glacier Lagoon flows through a short waterway into the Atlantic Ocean, and in its wake, it leaves various sized chunks of ice on the black sand beach. 

Hundreds of seals come to the  lagoon in winter for the plentiful bounty of fish there.
