Lanyon Quoit Milky Way Cornwall
Lanyon Quoit can be found southeast of Morvah, near Penzance, Cornwall.
It is a dolmen, a single megalithic tomb shaped like a table, with the capstone weighing over 13 tonnes, and measuring 9 feet by 11 feet, it was tall enough for a horse and rider to pass underneath. However, due to collapsing in a storm in 1815 and the breakage of one of the supporting stones, when rebuilt nine years later, it no longer looked like it did originally.
