Sycamore Gap Tree Night Photography

The Sycamore Gap lone tree under star trails.

The Sycamore Gap tree in the Northumberland National Park was possibly the most photographed and iconic tree in the UK, and stood at the foot of a dip in the landscape near Hadrian’s Wall.

It was iconic and well-photographed, and had, since 1991 also become known as the Robin Hood tree after featuring in a key scene of the film Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves.
