Description

Hamnøy and Reine Lofoten Islands

Located on the island of Moskenesøya, within the Mokenes Municipality, lies the small fishing village of Reine with its well-photographed red and white fishermen’s huts (rorbuer) along the shoreline; combined with the granite peaks rising from out of the Reinefjorden, the village considered to be “the most beautiful place in the world.”

Hamnøy, or Hamnøya is approximately 1.5 kilometres northeast from Reine, and is another small but beautiful fishing village, along the Vestfjorden.
