Kirkjufellsfoss Waterfall

The Kirkjufellsfoss Waterfall runs into the ice-filled Kirkjufellsa river, in front of the iconic Kirkjufell Mountain

This location has become a hotspot for both amateur and professional photographers, and no trip to Iceland is complete without a stop here.

The mountain, said to resemble a church steeple, hence it being known as ‘Church Mountain’, alternatively it is said to be shaped like a witch’s hat, therefore also being known as Witches Hat Mountain!
