Sveti Tomaž Slovenia

Sveti Tomaž (St Thomas) Church aglow from the setting sun.

Situated atop a small hill in the municipality of Škofja Loka in the Upper Carniola region of Slovenia, this little church is surrounded by the most superb views of the surrounding area.

The original building was Romanesque, and remains of it are still visible in the sanctuary, and the church has been rebuilt several times over the centuries.
